Grand Redevelopment Planned for 1309 Thomasville
Something old, made new. That's the intention of local development group
as they embark on a major project to redevelop the five-story office building formerly occupied by TMH at 1309 Thomasville Rd.
New renderings show a renovated facade for the building, with an enlarged penthouse which will be added onto the current top floor. The project seeks to transform the aging building into a mixed-use destination in Midtown. Plans call for the building's primary use to remain as office-space, while reserving the bottom floor for commercial space. The penthouse expansion is slated for a future restaurant or bar concept. This is a huge development to watch.
Railroad Square to Build The Yard @ RRSQ
As Proof Brewing Co. wraps up its move to 1320 South Monroe, one wonders, what's next for their old spot at Railroad Square? Current plans showcase an expanded biergarten to used as a gathering space. RRSQ is planning for additional grass turf, a new concrete patio, and a stage for music performances. Also mentioned is a future phase to redevelop the adjacent buildings for retail use.
Automatic Car Wash Coming to N Magnolia Dr
Palmetto Capital Group has applied for a site plan modification for their planned unit development at 205 N Magnolia Dr. The modification requests that they be allowed to construct a 2,800 sqft automated car wash next to Mavis Discount Tires.
COT to Build New Southeast Park
The St. Joe Company is getting one last little Christmas present from the City of Tallahassee. The City plans to develop a 43 acre recreational park at at Four Oaks Blvd and Tram Rd. The park will include a full catalogue of amenities and activities. Current plans call for multi-purpose fields, pickleball courts, basketball courts, volleyball courts, 3 restrooms, a disc golf course, and a playground and exercise area. I'm left with one question: What is pickleball?
Self-Storage Facility Planned for West Tenn
Atlanta-based Broward Development, LLC is proposing to construct a 3-story, climate controlled self-storage facility totaling 26,937 sqft on West Tennessee St. The development will include 26 parking spaces and bicycle parking.
